Our Fire Training Division is essential to the development of our newly hired Recruits, as well as the on-going training and development of our Fire Suppression staff.
The Fire Training Division is headed by our Municipal Training Officer. Their responsibilities include the day-to-day oversight of policy and fire training priorities. The Training Division oversees the on-boarding of newly hired Recruits and facilitates their initial development. Our Training Division also plans, schedule, documents and evaluates all FDMV Departmental training. This office is also responsible for the management of the fire training records of all FDMV members ,and is proactive regarding emerging training trends in the fire service, as well as protocols that support mental health and wellness.
