This week Sumer Breeze will feature the smooth sounds of Kenny LeeAllstars and R & B sounds of Mabu’s Ark Band. Jazz trumpeter, Kenny Lee, a retired White Plains Police Officer and Regional Security Manager for the Bank of New York, played trumpet in the White Plains elementary and high school jazz and marching bands and the United States Marine Corps Band. He studied trumpet at the Westchester conservatory of Music in White Plains and has gained the respect of musicians throughout the tri-state area and continues to perform at many notable clubs and restaurants with his band, the Kenny Lee Allstars.
Next week Brad “Mabu” Young hits the stage with a band he formed 40 years ago as a teen in the Mount Vernon High School. The band, who plays mostly in the New York area, captures the sound of Soul, Jazz, Fusion, Reggae, African and spoken word in one sound. The band has also played in Jamaica, Senegal and Canada.
Don’t miss the shows. They’re sure to be smooth and cool.
