Camille Banks-Lee, a proud Mount Vernon native and a graduate of Mount Vernon High School began her assignment as the Executive Director of the Youth Bureau in April of 2006. She has a B.A. from Fairfield University and Masters Degrees from both Columbia University and Fordham University. Camille began her teaching career at Graham Elementary School where she began a dynamic mentoring organization for young girls entitled, Daughters of the Nile which was funded by the City of Mount Vernon as well as several other funding sources. After leaving Graham School, Camille worked for 9 years in the Ossining Public School District as both a teacher and an administrator. She currently serves as a Vice President of Mocha Moms and is on the Board of Directors for the Mount Vernon Public Library Foundation. Camille is the married mom to two young boys and is very excited to be working in her hometown!
