established to provide financial assistance to low and moderate income students to attend two or four-year colleges, and vocational or technical schools who would otherwise find it difficult to do so.

Over 6,000 scholarships have been awarded since the program's inception in 1977. Students that meet eligibility requirements can receive an award to $400 to 1,200 per academic year.

Approximately 90% of awards go to students enrolled in programs that require at least four-years of study that lead to Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degrees.
