A Police Officer has personal responsibility for maintaining the public welfare through the
protection of lives and property and by enforcement of all laws and ordinances in the area assigned
to him/her. This is a position of civil responsibility demanding high level character, sound
judgement and selfreliance. Does related work as required. POLICE OFFICERS WORK ON A ROTATING SHIFT
BASIS, SEVEN (7) DAYS A WEEK, 52 WEEKS PER YEAR.
