Reginald Ward, Deputy Commissioner
Reginald Ward serves as a Deputy Commissioner of Technology and Special Projects for the Mount Vernon, New York Police Department. He has been serving in this capacity for over seven years.
Prior to this appointment, he served as an Honorary Deputy Commissioner for the New York City Police Department NYPD. He served on the NYPD Technology Re-engineering Committee and Transition Team under Police Commissioner William Bratton.
He also served as the Chairman for the New York City Transit and New York City Housing Police Chief’s Advisory Board.
Commissioner Ward is the Founder and Chairman of the New York Law Enforcement Foundation. The Foundation supports city, state and federal law enforcement departments and their members by providing equipment to departments and scholarships and financial support to department members and their families. The Foundation also honors members of law enforcement with annual awards. Commissioner Ward also serves as a Director on the Board of The Nassau County Police Reserves.
