The Mount Vernon Board of Water Supply mailed out Amnesty Program letters to all account holders with over 30 days of outstanding water bills. Residents and businesses of the City can pay their bills in full and avoid interest and penalties. This is a considerable savings. To satisfy your bill the principal must be paid in full on or before February 15, 2020. The Board of Water Supply will accept partial payments. Failure to fully satisfy the outstanding water bill on or before February 15 will reconstitute the penalty and interest on the account.
Payments can be processed by mail, in person or online at the link provided below. The Board of Water Supply will have extended office hours until 6:00 p.m. on the Thursday of each week during the Amnesty period.
Amnesty was made possible through Mayor Andre Wallace and legislative approval from the Mount Vernon City Council.
