On Tuesday, July 29, 2014 the CBS Television Production, Blue Bloods, will be filming in the City Clerk’s Office. Hence, the Office will suspend the issuance of marriage licenses at 12:00 noon, all other services-e.g., dog licenses, taxi licenses, etc.-will be suspended at 12:30 p.m. Staff will be available via telephone or email only for the remainder of the business day.
All services will resume on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 8:30 a.m.
Please note that this closure does not affect the Office of Vital Statistics.

Citizens of the City of Mount Vernon are urged to attend the Fiscal year 2014 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Hearing on the proposed budget conducted by the City of Mount Vernon Department of Planning and Community Development. The Public Hearing will be held on 5th day, August, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the City Council Chambers – Second Floor, City Hall, Mount Vernon, New York. The City Council will continue the public hearing on the Special Permit application of the Alexander Development Group’s proposal to develop a mixed use project at 42 West Broad Street, which shall include 249 market rate residential units, approximately 19,680 square feet of commercial development, and the renovation and management of an existing City parking structure in the DB (Downtown Business) District.
