Public comments on the Report will be accepted at the Department of Public Works and (914) 665-2300. The City’s Phase II Storm Water Management Program Plan Document is also available for review at the Department of Public Works.

Canal Village BOA Prenomination Study
The Canal Village BOA Pre-Nomination Study is a study completed by the City of Mount Vernon Department of Planning and Community Development. The study was prepared for the Step 2 application to the New York State Brownfield Opportunity Areas grant program in December 2009. The study provides a substantial amount of information about the City in general and the Canal Village section of the City in particular. Topics of the study include land use and zoning, demographics, natural resources, underutilized sites, land ownership, as well as preliminary analysis and recommendations for a more in-depth nomination study, and multiple maps detailing various conditions in Canal Village.
