Rose Simon Summer Camp

The Rose Simon Summer Camp program provides safe and secure recreational activities for children with developmental disabilities due to mental retardation, cerebral palsy, neurological impairment, epilepsy and autism. Track and Field Clinic

This summer, the Department of Recreation will offer track and field clinics at the Mount Vernon high school. Monday – Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm – 6:00 pm, children ages 7-12 will learn the fundamentals of running track. Program Fee: $120 per 2-week session.

Basketball Clinic

The Department of Recreation will be hosting a basketball clinic at the Mount Vernon high school for children ages 7-17. This program will teach children the fundamentals of basketball from dribbling, to passing and shooting. The program will run from Monday – Friday, from 1pm – 5pm. Program Fee: $75 per week.

Soccer Clinic

The Department of Recreation, in partnership with Backyard Sports will be hosting a series of two week Soccer Clinics at Hutchinson Field from July 8th – August 15th for children in grades 2nd – 6th. The Program will run Monday – Thursday from 3:30pm – 6:00pm.   Program Fee: $120 per 2-week session.
